PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure information security during the transport of a damaged hard disk drive.

SOLUTION: The maintenance information providing device 3 is provided with: a suspicious component information acquisition means 31 for acquiring suspicious component information for specifying the type of suspicious components estimated as the factor of the failure of maintenance object equipment ;and an operation instruction information transmitting means 23 for transmitting operation instruction information to a notification destination device 5 when the type of the suspicious components is a hard disk. The operation instruction information includes information indicating that a password lock machine 10 should be used by a maintenance staff.
