PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine blade having excellent blade tip cooling in spite of the abrasive contact of a blade tip. SOLUTION: A turbine airfoil 12 comprises positive side and negative side walls 24, 26 facing each other. The turbine airfoil extends into the chord between both ends of the leading and trailing edges 28, 30 and in the blade length from the root 32 to the outer blade tip cap 34. The blade tip cap 34 bridges the both side walls 24, 26 to each other. A groove 36 extends along the positive pressure side wall 24 in the direction of the chord under the blade tip cap 34.
