PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencing device capable of reducing noise more simply at lower cost. SOLUTION: In this silencing device, a reflection plate 6 provided outside of a fan 2 discharging air form an inside of a device to an outside and substantially vertically on a rotary shaft 2a of a fan 2, and a rectangular parallelepiped duct 4 guiding air form the fan 2 to the outside of the device 1 are provided, the reflection plate 6 is arranged on another end of the duct 4, air flowing out slits 7 are formed on at least a circumference edge of one side of four sides of the reflection plate 6, and distance L between the fan 2 and the reflection plate 6 satisfies an expression L=(λ/2)×n (n is a natural number) when wavelength of the maximum component of wavelength components constructing sound generated by the fan 2 is defined asλ.
