STABILIZING METHOD FOR STORAGE PHOSPHOR PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle-like storage phosphor panel free from a binder and having a stability without lowering the speed and quality of images. SOLUTION: The method for enhancing the stability against moisture of the storage phosphor panel having a phosphor layer coating a substrate by vapor-depositing a matrix and/or a phosphor precursor material of an activator component from at least one crucible and/or crucible unit in a vapor deposition apparatus includes the step of executing an additional excessive annealing process after completing vapor-deposition to anneal at a temperature exceeding a reference annealing temperature (170°C) for a time exceeding a reference annealing time (4 hours).
