PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polyethylene naphthalate resin composition, enabling the composition to be efficiently afforded with high dimensional stability to humidity change and excellent electrical properties. SOLUTION: The method for producing the modified polyethylene naphthalate resin composition comprises the following process: A polyethylene naphthalate resin (A) is compounded with 1-10 wt.% of a thermoplastic noncrystalline resin (C) with a specific solubility parameter to produce a thermoplastic resin composition (AC), and the thermoplastic resin composition (AC) and a vinyl thermoplastic resin (B) incompatible with the resin A are subjected to melt kneading together so that the proportions of the resin B and the resin C are 1-30 wt.% and 0.1-5 wt.%, respectively.
