<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method for a ceramic dental prothesis, which enables a surface of the ceramic dental prothesis to be simply and efficiently strengthened, and which is optimal, particularly, to the ceramic dental prothesis manufactured using an automatic cutting machine. <P>SOLUTION: This treatment method for the ceramic dental prothesis is characterized as follows: block-like ceramics including a sodium ion are cut into a desired shape of the dental prothesis by means of the automatic cutting machine, subsequently put into a crucible together with a powder of potassium nitrate or thallium nitrate, and overheated up to a temperature lower than a decomposition point of a nitrate and lower than a strain point of the ceramics, so that the nitrate can be melted, and after that, the ceramics are cooled together with the nitrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
