<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a resolution to the desired one to be switched through operation at a television set side when viewing the television set (display device including a monitor) while connecting an external device (such as a DVD player) thereto. <P>SOLUTION: As a means for changing a plurality of resolution information recorded at a television set side, a plurality of kinds of resolution information are not recorded by user selection at the television set side but information is switched to the desired resolution information and recorded beforehand and when a transmitter side reads resolution information recorded at the television set side, for example, it is recognized that a corresponding resolution is only "one", so that resolution switching can be performed through user operation at the television set side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
