<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and its controlling method which fairly count amounts to be charged for a margin of one sheet when a plurality of users impose images on the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a means for counting a consumed amount of a consumable material consumed by each of a plurality of users, and also for counting an area used by each of the plurality of users; a means for imposing images of a plurality of users on one sheet of a drawing medium; and a means for dividing the margin area of the drawing medium, when a plurality of users impose their images on the one sheet of the drawing medium, in proportion to the area printed by each of the users, and for adding the divided area to the area which each of the users uses on the drawing medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
