<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of quickly increasing temperature by increasing power usable with a heating means, and while achieving correspondence also to a high printing speed, capable of maintaining stable performance for a long period by suppressing the deterioration of an auxiliary power supply device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a fixing device 10 for fixing an image formed by an image formation part and transferred to paper P to the paper P while holding the paper P between a heating member 1 and a pressure member 7, the auxiliary power supply device 3 having an accumulation function for accumulating power from a commercial power supply 202 and capable of supplying the accumulated power to an image formation part and the fixing device 10, an auxiliary power control means 600 capable of supplying power from both of the commercial power supply 202 and the auxiliary power supply device 3 to the fixing device 10 or a load device other than the fixing device 10 and controlling power supply from the auxiliary power supply device 3, and a pressure member temperature detection means 80 for detecting the temperature of the pressure member 104, and controls power supply from the auxiliary power supply device 3 in accordance with the temperature detection result of the pressure member temperature detection means 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
