PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized use of content data and improve availability of content data for users.

SOLUTION: A content transfer system 100 is composed of a server 101, a cellular phone terminal 102, a content reproduction terminal 103 and a network 110. The server 101 transmits authentication information generated by an authentication information generation part 201 to the cellular phone terminal 102 or the content reproduction terminal 103 through an authentication information transmission part 202. In addition, a transfer data generation part 204 generates transfer data with the content data embedded therein with a format compatible with the cellular phone terminal 102, and then a content transmission part 205 transmits it to the cellular phone terminal 102. An authentication processing part 206 performs authentication processing whether or not content data can be reproduced, and then an authentication result transmission part 207 transmits the authentication processing result.
