<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition switch device which starts an engine without hindering convenience even in a case where a battery of a transmitting means has run out, while maintaining a vehicle theft preventing effect. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition switch device is provided with a transmitting means, a receiving means, a determining means, an operation knob 2 for allowing the engine of the vehicle to start when the operation knob is operated in the condition wherein the determining means determines that an ID code received by the receiving means is a regular ID code, and a rotor 4 for allowing the engine of the vehicle to start with the operation for turning a mechanical key inserted into a key hole H. The operation knob 2 is arranged to be operated, while covering the key hole H of the rotor 4, and provided freely to be removed from an ignition switch main body 1 by the predetermined removing operation, and in the condition wherein the operation knob 2 is removed, the key hole H is exposed outside to allow the mechanical key K to be inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
