PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving energy saving performance and providing comfortable air conditioning to a user by performing the operation in accordance with air conditioning load in a room even after the termination of a cut-off timer. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a means 2 for detecting a temperature around a human body, an outside air temperature detecting means 3, a suction temperature detecting means 4 for detecting a suction temperature of the air conditioner, a temperature setting means 5 for setting a target room temperature, a cut-off timer means 1 for stopping the operation of the air conditioner on reaching a timer set value, and an oxygen supply means 6 for introducing the outdoor air into a room, and the cooling operation, the oxygen supplying operation, or the continuation of stop of the air conditioner is performed on the basis of the temperature around the human body after the operation of the cut-off timer and the situation of the outdoor temperature. Thus the cooling operation is additionally performed when the air conditioning load is high to allow the user to comfortably sleep, and the wasteful consumption of energy can be prevented by introducing the oxygen in outdoor air when the air conditioning load is low.
