PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container management system capable of visually performing identification of a container and performing management of the container transported by a container transportation vehicle provided with a container handling device. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 4 is provided on the container transportation vehicle 1 provided with a container attachment loading means for performing operation of the container C provided with a visually recognizable container identifier C4 on a surface and is connected to a center device 31 through communication networks 5,6 by radio. When the on-vehicle device 4 transmits history data constituted by electronic image data obtained by photographing the container identifier C4, time data at photographing, vehicle position data and operation kind data of the container, the center device 31 stores the history data and analyzes the electronic image data included in the history data to perform discrimination of the container.
