PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, low-noise data projector, wherein all the heat generating sources including a light source apparatus being a high heat generating source are cooled by a single blower. SOLUTION: The projector 10 includes the light source apparatus 61, a light source-side optical system, a display element 51, a projection-side optical system, a power supply circuit, a projector control means and a cooling fan. The light source apparatus 61 is housed in a lamp house 120, and the light source apparatus 61 is arranged near the air outlet 113 of the cooling fan, the lamp house 120 has a closed-structure related to the housing except the air outlet 113 of the cooling fan and a discharge air flow path to the outside of the housing, and the light source apparatus 61 is cooled by the air discharged from the cooling fan, and also, the light generating sources other than the light source apparatus 61 in the projector are cooled by outside air flow sucked by the cooling fan.
