摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower efficiently operable by minimizing the leakage of the pressure produced by the operation of an impeller from the upper and lower parts of the impeller other than an exhaust port to the outside of a case, rotatable at high speeds, capable of blowing large-volume and high-pressure air in spite of its small size, and having economical efficiency and a long service life. SOLUTION: This blower comprises a case body 5 having an impeller storage chamber in which an air inlet is formed at the upper part and the exhaust port is formed in the peripheral wall, the impeller 9 rotatably installed in the impeller storage chamber of the case body and using a closed vanes sucking air from the air inlet and discharging it from the exhaust port, and a motor 10 installed in the case body and using a hydrodynamic bearing having a rotating member fixed to the impeller. An upper valve part is formed between the case body and the upper cover plate of the impeller corresponding to the peripheral edge of the air inlet. A flow passage through which air leaks to the outside of the case body after passing between the lower part of the impeller and the lower wall of the impeller storage chamber is formed in the blower, and a flow regulating mechanism is formed in the flow passage.
