PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle device which can enhance the dissociation property of a lock plate and a tongue plate when a user releases/operates while ensuring the operability of a releasing button. SOLUTION: The lock plate 40 of the buckle device 10 is provided with a surface which abuts against the hole periphery of a catching hole 26A at the end of a catching piece 50 made in an inclined surface 50A inclined in the width direction of the catching piece 50. Thus when the inclined surface 50A is abut against the hole periphery of the catching hole 26A, a force F1 increases to the extent an energizing force F of an ejector spring 38 which affects the catching piece 50 is applied in the direction away from the tongue plate 24 to increase the dissociation property of the lock plate 40 and the tongue plate 24. In addition the inclined surface 50A is only formed on the tip end of the catching piece 50; thus the rotating force of the lock plate 40 can be set small until the inclined surface 50A and the hole periphery of the catching hole 26A become abut against each other.
