<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable safety hood which gives improved sealing property around the neck against intrusion of outer air for allowing safe refuge. <P>SOLUTION: The hood includes a filter member 3 in a head and face covering part 2 made from an optically-transparent film of non-stretching property and heat resistant, fire protecting property for filtering toxic outer air and floating fine particle or smoke. The head and face covering part 2 has a tube-shaped sealing part 4 in communicating constitution. This tube-shaped sealing part 4 is provided with a plurality of elastic members 5 pressed on the neck in multi-stage around the neck part to prevent entering of outer air.
