<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, accurately and stably carry out a propulsive movement along a longitudinal axis direction and the change of a propulsive direction while a guidance system is simply constituted. <P>SOLUTION: A capsule type medical device 1 is introduced into the body of a subject and guided by an external magnetic field. The capsule type medical device 1 is equipped with a nearly cylindrical capsule 2, a propulsion mechanism 7 for converting a rotation movement around the longitudinal axis R of the capsule 2 into the propulsive movement along the longitudinal axis R, a magnet 5 housed in the capsule 2 and provided so as to switch its magnetic pole direction between a direction along the longitudinal axis direction R and a direction crossing the longitudinal axis direction, and a fixing means 12 for fixing the magnet 5 to the capsule 2 in each state of switched direction of the magnetic pole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
