<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of backlight device capable of preventing optical sheets from excessively laying one upon the other, and to provide an optical sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A through hole 57 of a diffusion sheet 51A is out-fitted onto an protrusion 47 of a receiving member 42 after lifting up one sheet of optical sheets 51A at uppermost part out of the optical sheets piled up on a storing position, and exfoliating a laminate film 59 upper face side. At this time, in case that one optical sheet 51A is taken out (more than two sheets are not taken out by mistake), the optical sheet 51A can be put on the diffusion plate 50.
