<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch core manufacturing method for solving conventional problems with hard machining and much labor. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an electromagnetic clutch core having a ring-grooved coil storage portion between the outer peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall comprises forming at least one or two recess-depressed portions in a plate material opened at its center, applying drawing work to the plate material to form the outer peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall and the coil storage portion therebetween, and using the recess-depressed portion to form a lock recessed portion in the inner face of the outer peripheral wall and/or in the outer face of the inner peripheral wall. The lock recessed portion is locked to the coil storage portion which is filled with a resin after storing a coil or to which a coil covering resin is fitted before storing the coil. The shape or position of the lock recessed portion is changed with the shape or position of the recess-depressed portion.
