<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of paths accompanied with route change at recalculation while attaining efficient use of network resources. <P>SOLUTION: In this route setting method for setting a path route in a packet transfer network 9 to which nodes accommodating a path are connected, this route setting device 1 performs a traffic matrix managing procedure for recording topology and traffic in the packet transfer network 9 as a traffic matrix in a storing means, an object link determining procedure for selecting a link with a large link utilization factor in the network on the basis of the traffic matrix, an object path determining procedure for selecting a path with a large traffic amount from paths accommodated in the selected link, and a route calculating procedure for performing route calculation of the selected path and instructing a node to change routes on the basis of the result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
