<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture generating apparatus for efficiently generating moving pictures of the size of an object that is about to be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The moving picture generating apparatus is provided with a moving picture generating section for acquiring transition data, denoting a reducing state of reducing regions of still pictures in a plurality of consecutive frame images included in a moving picture and generating a compressed moving picture, including the frame images wherein the reducing regions are about to be reduced gradually on the basis of the acquired transition data, and the moving picture generating section includes a first frame image generating section for generating a first frame image, including the reducing regions from one still picture; a DCT section for applying discrete cosine transform (DCT) to each partial region included in the first frame image to calculate a DCT coefficient by each partial region; an inverse DCT section for applying inverse DCT to the DCT coefficients each with the number of pixels, in response to the reduction rate of the reducing regions denoted by the transition data among the DCT coefficients by each partial region included in the reducing regions in the first frame image for calculating the pixel data of the reducing regions in a second frame image next to the first frame image; and a second frame image generating section for generating the second frame image, on the basis of the pixel data in the reducing regions in the second frame image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
