PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collet chuck, holding any member to be held having a large diameter and a small diameter. SOLUTION: This collet chuck 21 includes: a chuck body 25; a sleeve 27 movably guided in the axial direction in the chuck body 25; a chuck claw part 27 engaged with the inner periphery of the sleeve 27 to open and close depending on the axial movement of the sleeve 27; a cylindrical spacer 41 inserted to move in the axial direction in the chuck jaw part 37 and provided with a slit formed in the axial direction at the tip part; a sleeve driving device 65 for moving the sleeve 27 in the axial direction to open and close the chuck jaw part 27; and a spring 59 for moving the spacer 41 in the axial direction to the chuck jaw part 37.
