PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heeled footwear that is easily worn without using hands, pulling a heel tab while crouching or using a shoe horn, that hardly comes off once worn, and that is easily taken off by making a release projection of the heel part abutted on a wall or the like and making the heel part automatically retreated, and particularly the footwear that facilitates taking off and wearing when it has to be changed quickly or where use of the hands is difficult. SOLUTION: The footwear is structured so that the heel part is movable relatively to the tip toe part. When the footwear is worn and taken off, the heel part is retreated to a position noninterfering with the heel of the foot and is nonobstructive to the wearing and taking off. In addition, a motion of putting weight on the shoe sole moves the heel part fixedly to a position covering the heel. When the shoe is taken off, the projection provided in the lower heel part is made in contact with the other shoe of the pair, a wall, etc., releasing the fixation of the heel part and retreating it by the force of a spring to the position noninterfering with the heel.
