The invention described is a single-use kit ( 1 ) for hygienically changing and disposing of a baby's nappy. The kit in one aspect comprising a foldable and/or rollable mat ( 3 ) and a first mat extension ( 4 ) having a pocket ( 6 ) containing a nappy-changing material. The kit is openable by unfolding and/or unrolling the mat and first mat extension and closable by folding and/or rolling the mat and first mat extension. When open, the kit when open provides (i) a nappy-changing surface on the mat and (ii) single-handed access to the nappy-changing material. When closed, the kit is suitable for enclosing a soiled nappy and/or used nappy-changing material, allowing for convenient and hygienic disposal.
