An image processing method, an image processing device and an image processing program are provided to maintain correctly and extract edge portions, and carry out the compression of a dynamic range and color corrections without image deterioration. The image processing device is characterized in that the device comprises color temperature detecting means for detecting a color temperature of a light source in environments in which color image data are acquired, separating means for separating detail and base components in every color from the color image data, compressing means for controlling and compressing the base component of each color at variable compression rates, and synthesizing means for synthesizing compressed base components and detail components in every color thereby to generate color image data in which the dynamic range is compressed.
