<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a writing instrument cap and a method of assembly of a writing instrument cap which facilitates the assembly of the writing instrument cap main body and the clip regardless of their cross-sectional configurations and is suitable for automatic assembling and at the same time is of a nice outside appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The cap for a writing instrument is formed by assembling a clip to a cap main body by securing a securing portion formed on the cap main body and a hook section formed on the clip with each other. In the securing portion, the slope having a centering effect is formed, and this securing portion and the hook section are so constructed to be tentatively held at the tentative holding position utilizing the elastic deformation property of at least either one of the hook section and the securing portion when the hook section is pressed toward the slope in the diametrical direction of the cap main body, and then the clip is finally surely held with the cap main body by gradually sliding the clip from the tentative holding position toward the securing point where the clip and the cap body are secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
