摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine performing ISC learning control and KCS learning control and capable of performing satisfactory ISC learning control irrespective of change of KCS learning value even when KCS learning value is greatly changed. <P>SOLUTION: When amount of change of KCS learning value is large, ISC learning control is performed in learning acceleration mode in which amount of ISC learning updating is large and ISC learning is rapidly performed (steps ST3 to ST5, steps ST9 to ST11). By performing the ISC learning control in the learning acceleration mode in which the ISC learning is rapidly performed in this way, the ISC learning control follows large change of KCS learning value immediately to shorten the time required for converging into the optimum ISC learning value. Consequently, it is possible to complete the ISC learning control performed at idle time in a hybrid vehicle in a short time and increase the effect for improving fuel economy by idle stop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
