<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which does not perform a processing as non-damage jamming even when conveyance irregularity occurs due to the kind or the thickness of paper but informs of abnormality in advance in an abnormality detected state. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: a fixing driving roller 100; a driving motor 50; a pressure roller 101; an encoder 55 detecting the rotating speed of the fixing driving roller 100; a light emitting element 56; a light receiving element 57; and a conveyance sensor for detecting the conveying speed of the paper. It also is equipped with a control part 20 calculating first speed set when the paper is conveyed according to output signals from the encoder 55, the light emitting element 56 and the light receiving element 57, also calculating second speed set when the paper is conveyed according to a signal from the conveyance sensor, and monitoring whether the first speed and the second speed are within reference speed. When an obtained difference between the first speed and the second speed is minimum, the control part 20 does not perform a processing as the detection of abnormality, on the other hand, when the difference between both of them exceeds the range of predetermined abnormal speed, it performs output related to abnormality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
