PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress flexure of a conveyance belt by reducing a time period necessary for a recovery operation of a nozzle such as an operation of ejection for preventing clogging. SOLUTION: A plurality of head units 12 are arranged in a staggered fashion to form a fixed type inkjet head 11 and a nozzle recovery opening section 7 is formed to a position opposite to the head units 12 at the same time, and then all the nozzles carry out the nozzle recovery operations such as the operations of ejection for preventing clogging at the same time, thereby reducing the necessary time period. As a side of a printing medium 2 in a direction intersecting a conveyance direction thereof is bent to be projected to the outside of the opening, a compression stress at a portion in the vicinity of the side thereof in the direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the printing medium 2 can be reduced, it is possible to suppress the flexure of the conveyance belt 1.
