PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank which prevents the risk of unexpected movement of ink caused by physical distribution and environmental change in a constitution adopted for performing high-speed ink supply in the ink tank with an ink storing chamber and an absorber storing chamber attached thereto. SOLUTION: A constitution is adopted in which the ink storing chamber and the absorber storing chamber are made to communicate with each other. A valve operating with a shape memory alloy as an expansion/contraction power source is arranged to the communication part which becomes an ink movement point.
