PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact refill unit which enables a user to easily carry out a replacement operation of an ink cartridge. SOLUTION: The refill unit 70 is equipped with a swing arm 123. The swing arm 123 is engaged with the ink cartridge 63 stored in a case 75. A tension spring 128 is provided in the swing arm 123. The swing arm 123 elastically urges the ink cartridge 63 to press out of the case 75. A recessed part 134 with which the swing arm 123 is engaged is formed on a top face 122 of the ink cartridge 63. The recessed part 134 has a forward inclined face 135 and a backward inclined face 136. The swing arm 123 presses the forward inclined face 135 by turning in the clockwise direction.
