PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus having excellent electrostatic durability in an external connection terminal part. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device (electro-optical device) is characterized in that patterns of wirings 20a to 20d connected to at least a part of external connection terminals 9a to 9d, respectively, in a plurality of external connection terminals are present as extended from the external connection terminal side over connection positions with terminals 14 of a driving IC 7, that a constant potential wiring 15 is laid at a prescribed distance from the extended portion 20y over the connection positions, and that protrusions 20z, 15z are preferably formed as protruding toward each other, in both of the extended portion 20y and the constant potential wiring 15, respectively.
