PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing system capable of making developer concentration constant at the time of a developing nip between an image carrier and a developing roller. SOLUTION: The developing system has a detection means S for detecting developer concentration in a developer container 34, and a control means C for controlling the abutting angle or the abutting pressure of a regulation blade 33 in accordance with output from the detection means S. When output from the detection means S is lower than a reference value, the control means C controls to make the abutting angle or the abutting pressure of the regulation blade 33 smaller than the reference value.
