PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive unit capable of reducing its size, improving impact resistance, stabilizing lens positions, and reducing power consumed during automatic focusing. SOLUTION: The lens holder includes: a lens holder accommodating one or more lenses; at least one coil set up on the surface of the lens holder; a magnet arranged away from the coil by a predetermined gap; and a yoke attached to the back face of the magnet. In the lens drive unit, the lens holder is movable along an optical axis via a guide members. One or more magnetic members are equipped in the lens holder in order to keep its position.
