PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection sensor for highly accurately detecting a rotation angle, being hardly affected by a dimensional change in a housing owing to a temperature change while accurately detecting the rotation angle in a weight-loaded state by means of a bearing preload using a spring member. SOLUTION: Two axially-aligned ball bearings 4 and 5 are fitted on an inner diameter surface of the housing 1 while a rotary shaft 2 is rotatably supported by the ball bearings 4 and 5. First and second rotation angle detection parts 3A and 3B, constituting a rotation angle detection means 3 while being in touch with each other, are provided on a bottom part 1a of the housing 1 and on an end face of the rotary shaft 2 on this bottom part side, respectively. This rotation angle detection sensor is characterized in that the spring member 7 is provided for preloading the ball bearings 4 and 5, and that the ball bearing 4 on the housing bottom part 1a side, out of the ball bearings 4 and 5, is used as a receiving-side bearing being in touch with an axial surface 1d of the housing 1 while the ball bearing 5 on the housing opening 1b side is used as a thrusting-side bearing thrusted by the spring member 7.
