PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for easily transferring by orienting and arranging a nanowire in a desired direction and a pattern shape. SOLUTION: This nanowire transfer device is equipped with a container 1 storing a solution 2 having the nanowire 3 dispersed on the surface, a barrier 4 applying mechanical pressing force for orienting the nanowire 3 in the surface of the solution 2, and a means which takes up a transfer substrate 5 having a pattern shape area 6 having the adhesiveness of the nanowire 3 on the surface from the solution 2. The nanowire 3 is adhered on the pattern shape area 6 by orienting the nanowire 3 dispersed on the surface of the solution 2 and taking up the transfer substrate 5 from the solution 2. A board 7 for forming an electric element opposed to the surface of the transfer substrate is moved by synchronizing with the movement of the transfer substrate 5, and the nanowire 3 is transferred on the pattern shape area 8 of the board 7 corresponding to the pattern shape area 6 of the transfer substrate 5.
