PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newly designed garbage treating container capable of effectively suppressing the generation of maggots or the like. SOLUTION: The garbage treating container is provided with a closing means 26 isolating a housing space 14 from the outside space by closing a housing container 12 having the housing space 14 housing a treating material 18 for decomposing garbage, heat insulating means 12, 26 suppressing the movement of heat into and out of the outside space in the housing space 14 of the housing container 12 isolated from the outside space by the closing means 26, and a carbon material housing means 42 housing a carbon material 44 absorbing a water content in the housing container 12.
