PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition that is light-weighted and has a high hardness and low rolling resistance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire comprises 95-50 pts.wt. of a diene rubber and 5-50 pts.wt. of an A-B-A triblock polymer comprising a segment A containing an aromatic vinyl polymer and an elastomer soft segment B (the total thereof being 100 pts.wt.), where the A-B-A triblock polymer has an MFR value of at most 10 g/10 min as measured under a condition of 190°C and a load of 2.16 kgf.
