PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella which is simply structured, can receive instant recognition of the umbrella or the person and is durable. SOLUTION: Reflective tapes 8 are located between each main ribs 51 and umbrella panels 6, prepared on the umbrella panels 6 in strips along each main ribs 51. Furthermore, the reflective tapes 8 are prepared along the main ribs 51 in strips on the umbrella panels 6 on the side opposite the main ribs 51 across the umbrella panels 6. It means that the reflective tapes 8 are radially prepared extending from the center to each tips 7 on both outer/inner surfaces of the umbrella panels 6. Then, the opening umbrella 1 can be instantly recognized even from a distance. Furthermore, even if parts of the umbrella panels 6 facing the main ribs 51 are worn, the parts are reinforced with the reflective tapes 8; the umbrella panels 6 can be prevented from being worn by the main rib 51 and the umbrella 1 can be improved in durability.
