PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorating tool for cleaning an underwater environment, which attracts the interests of admiring persons, maintains the inside of an aquarium as clean and is capable of inhibiting the deterioration of the environment in an aquarium, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This decorating tool is mounted with a photocatalytic member 3 obtained by applying a photocatalyst on the surface of a non-water soluble photocatalytic member body 3 on a net-formed material 4 so as to have a mosaic form, and arranging the net-formed material 4 mounted with the photocatalytic member 3 along the wall surface part 2a of the aquarium 2 in which water is filled and aquatic organisms are kept in the water.
