<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus capable of automatically and selectively concealing only an object, which a user would not show, displayed on a background of a real time image of a videophone without the need for the user to point out the object on a background image. <P>SOLUTION: The image transmission apparatus includes: a camera capable of sensing an infrared ray and photographing the user in real time; an image information extract means for extracting a range of images blinked in a predetermined periodical pattern in a wavelength band of the infrared ray from information of a set of preceding and succeeding images in consecutive images photographed by the camera; and an image edit means for editing a prescribed range of images including perimeter images of the extracted image range in a way of replacing the prescribed range with other images, and the image transmission apparatus transmits the edited image in place of the images photographed by the camera. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
