PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite-broadcasting receiver having a time display function enabling a time display having a high accuracy without fitting a standard clock in the device, and a satellite-broadcasting transmitter corresponding to the operation of the satellite-broadcasting receiver. SOLUTION: The satellite-broadcasting receiver 10 having a time display function receives a control channel having the written reference-time data of the reference clock 51 as a part of a payload data by a control-channel generating section 52 for the satellite-broadcasting receiver 50. In the satellite-broadcasting receiver 10, the control channel is demodulated and error-corrected by a control channel section 1A for a demodulation/error-correction section 1, and the reference time data is extracted as a time information from the control channel by a time-information extracting section 2. In the satellite-broadcasting receiver 10, a delay time T stored in a delay-time storage section 3 is added and a display time is computed by a display-time computing section 4, and transmitted to a decoding/displaying section 5.
