<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic voltage regulator that can exchange many input and output signals with an external device with the size of a conventional device. <P>SOLUTION: An error signal obtained by subtracting a voltage detection signal of a synchronous generator from a voltage command signal of the synchronous generator is operation-amplified by an operational amplifier to output a field control signal. Inputted voltage/current of a power source is regulated by a field regulator. The voltage/current outputted by this field regulator is outputted to the field winding of the generator. Also, the transmission and reception of signals are performed with the external device via first and second signal input/output devices. An internal state is transmitted to the external device and inner setting is carried out by an internal controller with the signals from the external device. Furthermore, a generator input device, a power source input device, a field output device, and a first signal input/output device are obtained with a terminal block provided on the automatic voltage regulator body. The second signal input/output device is structured in such a way that a connector provided on the regulator body and a terminal block provided outside are connected with cables so that the number of signal input/output functions can be increased without enlarging the dimensions of the automatic voltage regulator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
