PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm that a user who has accessed last is identical with himself/herself by displaying optional information designated by the user (e.g., an optional character string) on a display part of a personal computer after log-in authentication in a management server. SOLUTION: In an online system in which the management server performs log-in authentication according to log-in request from the personal computer, the personal computer transmits "user-designated optional information" to the management server every log-in request made by the personal computer, and the management server displays, after log-in authentication, "user-designated optional information "in the previous log-in", "log-out time" in the previous log-in, and "accumulated log-in frequency" added with this log-in on the display part of the personal computer, whereby information enabling the user to confirm that the person who has made a log-in request to the management server is the user himself/herself is provided.
