PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect loading of a correct type of ink tank to an ink jet recorder and to prevent removal of the ink tank through a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An ink tank is provided with a displacement member movable in the arranging direction of ink tanks and having the other end which projects as the one end is pressed. In the relation of juxtaposed ink tanks, profile of the displacement members is determined such that the displacement members engage with each other to transmit the displacement only when the ink tanks are containing ink of matching characteristics. When matching ink tanks are juxtaposed, the displacement is transmitted and the displacement member projects from one ink tank. Loading of a correct type of ink tank is detected and unprepared removal of the ink tank is prevented by obtaining that projection state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
