PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a tuning-fork crystal resonator by efficiently breaking the resonator using a simple configuration without causing fine fragments. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus 1 of a tuning-fork crystal resonator 2A is provided with a suction plate 3 for supporting a crystal wafer 2 provided with tuning-fork crystal pieces 2a, cut into a cantilever beam shape by notches 2b piercing in a plate thickness direction on the bottom surface in a suction state; a pressing member 5 for pressing the tuning-fork crystal pieces 2a of the crystal wafer 2 supported by the suction plate 3 in a perpendicular lower direction, and deforming the crystal pieces; and a jig plate 6 closely arranged oppositely to the suction plate 3 at a position sandwiching the crystal wafer 2, and having concave portions 6a capable of housing the tuning fork type crystal resonators 2A broken and acquired from the crystal wafer 2 in a positioning state.
