PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability by installing a moisture removal means on the suction side of a compressor to protect the parts in the compressor from the rusting and degrading by moisture. SOLUTION: The compressor 3, a motor 8, and a storage tank 22 are installed in a soundproof box 1. A suction pipe 10 is connected to the suction side of the compressor 3, and a discharge pipe 21 is connected to the discharge side of the compressor 3. A suction side drier 11, a suction tank 18, and a filter 19 are installed on the suction side of the compressor 3. While the air compression device is operated, the suction air is dehumidified by the suction side drier 11 to flow the dry suction air into the compressor 3. Consequently, the compression device in which the parts in the compressor 3 are prevented from being rusted and degraded by the moisture of the suction air and which can be easily handled can be provided even under humid use environments.
