PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper placement device capable of more smoothly performing feeding of the paper at lower cost. SOLUTION: The paper placement device 2 openably/closably mounted to a body device and placing the conveyed paper sheets on the body device, and is provided with paper placement parts 13, 14 of double-structure sliding in opening/closing action; rotation shafts 13a, 14a for openably/closably moving the paper placement parts 13, 14; and an abutment part 14b provided at an opposite side to a placement surface of the paper near the rotation shaft 13a, 14a, abutted to the body device after the opening action and positioning the paper placement parts 13, 14.
