A status holding unit holds a status table having respective status descriptors, corresponding to the plurality of image data stored in the image storage device, each status descriptor indicating a status of execution of a series of image processing steps of the image data related to the status descriptor, and being updated every time one of the image processing steps of the related image data is performed.
